Hey guys I've got another quarter for you that I am trying to research.

According to PCGS there are not any 1966 quarters that have a DDO classification but they do have DDR listed with only 4 known examples and no pictures provided.

The first picture I post will be a normal 1966 to help compare between what looks like a normal quarter and this weird one.

Yes my quarters were highly circulated by the time I got my hands on them but the 4 DDRs found were only graded at 30 and 45.

The other 2 pics will be my weird looking quarter. I tried to get a couple of different angles hopefully to show the doubling at its best. The lettering is extra thick like classic Machine Doubling but the W of WE has extra lines that look almost like a shadow.

Tell me what you guys think.

I am seeing it as circulation damage not a DDO.

Coin damage on the incuse marks on the coin, is just damage. The Motto looks like an aging die. The devices will show enlargement from die wear and coin flattening during circulation and a lot of coins are damaged in vending machines and casinos during that time. So the coin is from a normal die, then suffered a lot of coin contact during its life. The extreme die wear can even look as bad as this:
