Peace Dollars! Has Anyone Ever Seen This Before

livingwater Pillar of the Community United States 2232 Posts	Posted 08/24/2022 1:00 pm Welcome! Die cracks on Peace dollars are common. Some have been assigned VAM numbers, others not. You can check vamworld to see if there's a match but the photos there are not complete and new VAMS may not be listed. I have a 1923 with similar reverse die crack and an obverse crack, but I could not find a VAM number for it. IMO die cracks do not add a lot of value to a coin unless it's pretty large or long and the coin is MS. I think a die crack becomes a die break if it's bigger/wider. Your top coin looks like it also has a clash above the eagle's shoulder. Peace dollar die clashes have VAM numbers if they are long enough.
