The ' VAM' is a listing of different die characteristics and pairings. All Morgan and Peace dollars will have a VAM associated with them. Some are quite hard to find while others are common.

This coin should have a VAM listing, but the possible plating and polishing may make it harder to see the die's unique 'fingerprint' of marks, clashes, gouges, doubling, etc.

Looks like someone took some time to gussy this one up...
Notice how the open fields on her and the devises have the same sheen...
This is not a normal wear pattern for a coin in circulation...which means it has had it's original surfaces tampered with.
Collectors want original surfaces...a TPG (Third Party Grader) would call this coin "Detail" altered surfaces or cleaned/polished...
The VAM in this case is not so important...
Check this out...http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.c...com/wiki/VAM
it will answer your questions regarding what really matters about VAM's
Keep looking...and look fwd to some more of your posts!
