This one looks EF-40 to me.

Any idea what the blotches on the obverse might be? Might be one of those very rare instances when a gentle dip in acetone could be warranted.

Thought it was a high VF - looks like I got the grade pretty close for something I've not seen before.

Just dirt, I think. I could gently scrape with my nail a black blotch off a copper coin from the same batch. Don't have acetone at the moment, need to go get more.

EF for sure.

I'd never clean it myself, but it sure would be nicer without the black plague oozing out of the Queen's ear.
