Not seeing AU, personally. I would put that at high VF or low EF.

Thanks - looks like a split in opinion. This one is throwing me off because the crown on the reverse looks quite sharp but the whole king on the obverse doesn't.

Doesn't look cleaned in hand, IMO. My photography setup this time is one flashlight jury rigged at a 45 degree angle in front of the coin, and just about every silver coin I've photographed so far appear to have light horizontal lines.

I'm with Silver101.

Going by the Obverse I would say VF 30.

The lack of sharp detail from a less than perfect strike and scratches hold it back from AU for me.

Kind of tough..Reverse appears much better than obverse...

Why does the obverse look like that compared to the reverse? Is that is it simply a poor strike from the very beginning?

VF-30. Too much wear on the ear to be much higher
