@fish, yes please always post the weight and diameter of pieces you'd like us to identify. I will say that this looks a lot like the undated colonial cents (of 1783) that feature Washington in military garb on both sides. I'd start there.

Thank you gentlemen.do either of you know what those punches are going down the coin.they can be seen from the reverse side as well?
