I am stumped by this one.... every time I look at it I try to deduce what I see. A well worn penny with a normal obverse and a mushy reverse. Struck through? Grease? Die cap? Or did someone put a couple of drops of acid on the reverse and let it sit?

All comments welcome!

Looks like it was struck through a late-stage die cap.

Excellent question Bill... it weighs 3.16 grams (Normal weight is 3.24 grams for 1952 1 cent)
