Hi again, another dollar in my collection I have been wondering about grade wise, what do you guys think?

The Colour of the coin is quite a bit less dark in hand but these are the best photos I could get for showing all of the contact marks.

Thanks,

Matt (:

So hard to grade Peace dollars.
Maybe a MS-64?

The toning is not attractive though.

Thanks for the input, I agree it is pretty hard to pin down. I would love to think its ms65 material but the dings on liberties forehead and cheek may prevent that.

Im happy enough with ms64 but maybe its not worth sending to get graded.

Unable to grade from photos with a coin this darkly toned. Might be MS, might be AU.

I'll say MS-62. Toning isn't attractive, a significant hit on the forehead, and some scrape marks across the front of the coin under the toning.

i'd say improperly stored and there are numerous vertical hairlines on the obv. crossing over field and profile. UNC details cleaned

Thanks for the reples, grading standards for Peace dollars seem really tough, especially when compared to morgans. I'm actually quite happy with the coin for the price I paid but still looking for a gem example.

Don't drop this into the E-z-est jar for a second or two, rinse with distilled water then pat, not wipe, dry with a soft paper towel
