Looks like a die chip. A small piece of the die broke off, causing the raised defect on the coin. This is a very minor error which is not likely to add any value.

There are many counterfeit gold dollars out there but this one looks OK. Grade is somewhere around AU-53, maybe 55.

Agree likely a die chip. Looks good too me as well, but no expert.
