I picked this rather nice little 1831 from David Perkins at a great price. Sporting beautiful natural toning, great satiny luster and a whopper of a strike this little Half Dime was a real bargain.

middle die state. the line coming up from the throat is a die clash from the eagles wing on the reverse. later the dies are reground. star 3 is repunched.
