Britain began new security features on their silver/gold bullion in 2021, including tiny lettering, a laser imprinted circle that turns from a lock to a trident in light, waves in the field. The Krugerrand added micro text in 2021. Canada now has a micro last two digits of the year inside the monogram leaf on some of their bullion.

I just bought a 1 oz gold Perth Australia Kangaroo. There's a new security micro letter p inside the K.

It's sad my US Mint can't do any better than a missing reed on ASE, AGE. Really lame, much easier to counterfeit IMO.

RIP Queen Elizabeth.

Very interesting!

I agree, the American Eagles need to step up their game.

New Britannias have a slew of security features that are easy to verity.

My primary way of testing gold coins is the simple "ping" test. All 22kt coins have awesome pings. Only the older maple leafs have very muted and sometimes variable pings.

Is there such a thing as a tungsten fake that can have a decent ping?
