XF45 to AU53. All depends on what it looks like in hand. Nice coin no matter what it grades.

Nice photo's by the way. Thanks for including the third side of the coin. Very rarely do posters do that...AU 50-55. Minimal wear on high points (Libertys breast area & outer rim of eagle's wings). I think you did ok at $1,053 (U.S. I assume). Certainly certifiable.... Not the rarest version of the1875 Trade dollar, but still an absolutely beautiful addition to any collection...congratulations !

I am at AU 50 though 53 would not surprise me. Very pleasing original example. Also great potential as Trade dollars gain in popularity. This Year and Mint Mark is quite A bit rarer than the 1893 S Morgan which is far more expensive in comparable grades.

i'd call it XF45 pretty close to AU so it could go that way. I cant see it higher than 50. the luster and eye appeal is just not there. it is a nice trade piece but imo overpriced at that amount. it would have to come in at a solid 53 to warrant that price and then thats full retail

I'd call it VF25 (I was taught with old-school, more conservative grading standards).

Panzaldi I disagree on the Price. 1000.00 on A AU-50 75 cc Trade dollar is a good deal these days. Generally in A PCGS or NGC Holder though.

JasonKflo check out sales on ebay for slabbed AU50 coins. all between $560 and $1076 and the $1076 coin is very much better than this one with quite a bit of luster. all within the last couple months PCGS shows average sales of AU50 slabbed coins around $800 Numismedia have AU50 valued at $950 these are what I used to determine approx value. I cant see this coin at AU53. too much wear and insufficient remaining luster to make that grade imo. can you cite your source for pricing? is the coin a good buy? probably long term as the CC's are only going to go up.

I think it makes AU-50, maybe even 53. You'll do ok with it being a CC.
