Please show both sides of each coin, oriented right-side up.

Also please crop a bit more and you might want to post in the grading section? John1

@virg, depending on your goal for posting, then I can move this thread for you. At the moment, it would seem like you are asking if this is a VAM or not. Thx for providing a little more clarity.

I think I have this figured out now... I don't know if I need help grading or if I should post my images to another forum. I don't really know what we need help with. These are heavy coins and felt like holding treasure while photographing them today. They're amazing! Some of them have this incredible amount of detail, some are shiny, some were far more circulated than others, some are darker, etc.. I'm really just sharing them to share this experience of finding such treasure.

Ok yes those pics are much better, although I do note that they are of a different coin. Best practice is to restrict a thread to just a single coin, but it ok. Just a couple quick thoughts for you: try not to touch any coins except on the edges and do not under any circumstances try to clean, polish, or rub these coins in any way.

I agree, DO NOT under any circumstances clean the coins, ever.

Pics need more light to pick up surface details. Can't grade from these.

Here is some better lighting of this beauty. I consider myself relatively intelligent, but there is certainly a learning curve with figuring this out. Just some more background... I'm a critical care nurse, mother of six and wife. I'm trying to learn all this out while in, what seems like, is the busiest time of my life! I'm pretty sure this is the same coin that I pictured before - but there are three 1897 coins. I need to slow down and take the time to do it correctly. The lighting made a huge difference one the few that I took this morning! There is so much to learn! So, hang in there with me while I am doing my best to adhere to the rules and execute this correctly without damaging these gems.
