it looks like this penny may have a floating roof, also the last 9 looks a little too wide/thick, as do some of the letters on the back, any reason why?

Well lots of wear from being spent on this coin, so I'm thinking the wider features are due to circulation flattening.

Even if it is, this is just a minor die abrasion issue. Worth its melt value in copper.
