Thoughts? 1.31 gms Sorry for poor pics. Ghost of leaves visible in hand of obv. Ball cap is 3/16" deep. Kinda cool.

I know exactly where these coins are coming.
I was trying to get them without success

I would describe the first coin as:

"A split planchet struck over a second planchet with a small off-axis deviation."

You may have a better description.

Nice coins! Great find!

I would describe the split planchet as "split planchet, struck off center, split after strike". The reason for this is if it was struck over a second planchet, the obverse would be smooth, mirroring the blank planchet underneath. The obverse has visible striations which points to splitting after strike. You can check out my post on split planchets here:

Rob there will always be debate as to split before or after strike. The one above is not totally smooth as you would expect while at the same time the striations are very subdued which as you are aware better than most is not typical. An interesting one for sure. MM

That is why I said "points to" and not "is"! Lol.

It would be great if you added your split planchet to my split planchet post as a fantastic example.
