I was trying to get them without success I would describe the first coin as: "A split planchet struck over a second planchet with a small off-axis deviation." You may have a better description. robmck1967 Pillar of the Community Canada 870 Posts	Posted 09/15/2022 1:06 pm Nice coins! Great find! I would describe the split planchet as "split planchet, struck off center, split after strike". The reason for this is if it was struck over a second planchet, the obverse would be smooth, mirroring the blank planchet underneath. The one above is not totally smooth as you would expect while at the same time the striations are very subdued which as you are aware better than most is not typical. An interesting one for sure.
