Is that a struck thru or hit below the steps? I'm thinking 66, could go 67 though.

It's struck through. I was under the impression that would not be a deduction for a mint error? I not sure though? It's as good as the 68's PCGS has posted on their website or very close. Still you never know with PCGS. , May very well be 65?

The reverse is stunning, beautiful coin! Appears to be die chip below the memorial.
67 RD
PS- You've been pretty quiet lately. That hoard has you working OT! lol

good to see you back with a post.
this is nice coin and well struck on both sides which is critical. I agree with the strikethrough which will not affect grade. the fields look really clean of issues with just a few very minor marks on the field in front of the portrait and a small tick under the date. there looks like a few ticks on the lapel. all the lettering is clean from marks which is not easy to find.
there is no doubt in my mind that the reverse is a solid MS67. the obv MS66+ maybe 67. I dont think the coin is in the 68 range, I think they reserve that for those cherry red coins.
imo the coin is probably one of the best shots at 67RD you have posted. hopefully this is a winner. the only issue I see is that even at 67 the value is not that high. PCGS shows the coin at $120 and average sales in the $90 range. it would have to pull a 67+ to get up there on the charts and the chances are not that good. they only have graded 15 at that level
good luck if you sub it. also give us an update if you do

I'm seeing friction on Lincoln's cheek bone and lapel. AU-58.

It is a very clean coin but doesn't have that something about it. I know it's not a high value coin. Finding a 67 copper coin is hard enough but I am not sure if it's worth the chance. The 1974-P is probably the least value of any 70's coin in 67. Do any of you think the reverse is enough to bump it to a 67. I knew it was never close to a 68, PCGS picutures always kill me because I see numerous contact marks on just about every coin in the 60's and 70's sometimes very noticable but I know if I submit one one it better be flawless. Again thanks for your opinions.
