1892-S Morgan Silver Dollar - Another Suspicious Coin Of Mine.

That orange peel effect you see around the MM is typical of what you see with a fine wire rotary wheel or a soft sanding finishing wheel. The raised lips you see on the devices are also due to that. Looking at D in DOLLAR, you can see the wheel was passing over left to right/clockwise over the devices. As the wheel passes over it will round over the left side of the devices, creating a raised areas of pushed over metal, and leaving the right side relative "normal" looking and untouched.
