Came across this 1988
LMC recently and was puzzled by the clash, polishing and field on the reverse. The clash only appears in the bays of the memorial and there is clear evidence of polishing inside the clash. Outside the clash the fields are smooth.
Read Coop's outstanding and very educational piece on the subject. I still am not sure how portions of the field are smooth outside the clash and polish abrasions are so evident inside the clash?
Thanks
