Hello, I'm new to collecting error penny and I found this penny with major errors but I can't seem to find info about it or how rare it is. I appreciate if you guys can help me

1st error is (obv strike through) looks like bullet which is cool.
2nd error is it weight 2.92g which is .4g heavier than it's intended weight. Same color of usual 1996 penny.
3rd error is the Wide AM which I believe it supposed to have Close AM but I'm not sure.

I'm hoping to get it authenticated but hoping to get second opinions.

Thank you,

@ako, first welcome to CCF. Second, you have a very nice example of a lamination. A large "flake" of the planchet has come loose after the coin was struck. You should definitely save it in a 2x2 for safekeeping.

Well the Wide AM is normal for that year. The Weight is slightly less than normal which should be 3.11 grams for a copper planchet. The obverse is a lamination error. The strike was normal, but the affected area peeled off post strike. So all you have is a lamination error. Not worth the fees ($50 for a PCGS slab) to have a slabbed.

to the CCF and That is a very nice lamination. And you might want to edit to 1966.

Extremely nice lamination error - which explains for the big weight loss. and a WAM is normal for this year.
