I Need Help With A Small Found Coin Collection Starting With 1944 S Dime.

Long story short will probably be posting coins here periodically I have a few coins I have questions about. I could also use some advice to maybe post and ask about multiple coins in one thread. NumisRob Bedrock of the Community United Kingdom 17901 Posts	Posted 09/22/2022 04:06 am Hello and Your coin is actually a 1944S dime, minted in San Francisco. The 'S' mintmark is on the reverse after the word 'ONE'. The 'W' on the obverse is the designer's initials, AW for Adolf Weinman. It's 90% silver so quite a nice find! Some very recent US coins do indeed have a 'W' mintmark, for West Point, but it was not used back in the 1940s!
