1994 D Quarter Odd Pony Tail

Noticed something odd with the pony tail. It's been clipped between the neck and pony tail.

Looks normal to me except Grease Filled Die when struck between neck and ponytail.

Thanks for the input. This one kinda had me stumped. I compared it to a few other 1994's.

It could be die event (chip) or a contact mark on that area of the design. Either way, it is not a premium for this coin.

Heading towards 60K in a while. Just went past 59.5K recently. So before long it will be getting to that mark:

I think it's an over polished die as Dearborn suggested. I've seen 2 others recently (1994 and 1995) with details of the ear, neck and nose flat spotted from die abrasion along with the area at the top of the ponytail.

It is an interesting anomaly and I would keep it if I found the coin. It'll only cost you 25¢.
