New to this forum and new to coins. I see there is no mint mark. In this case, is it possible it wore off. Also, the discoloration, is it from circulation, or from an issue with the clad or metal. What is the best way to establish value until I get acclimated in this community.

buried coins often end up discolored like this, no premium since it can be easily replicated

to the CCF A coin with no mintmark means it was minted in Philadelphia. They did not have a P on them until later on. The color is from circulation and environmental damage. AS far as value .25. Stick around do some searching on this site, there is a lot of information here.

to the CCF

No mm simply means it was struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
It is environmental toning of some sort and has a value of 25 cents.

See Cujohn beat me to it. Glad our answers were about the same
