Even increasing the size of your photo, I can't see what you are considering a 5.
Chances are it is damage anyway as there is no way for a random 5 to appear
during the minting process.

I agree, not much can be seen from this photo. Please always show us both sides of your coin. From your description this sounds like post mint damage.

Just a coincidental die scratch on the cheek imo. Calling it a misplaced 5 is a little absurd. The discoverer (Robert Lawson, who now runs the YouTube channel Levels linked) publicized this variety (earlier, from what I can tell, via coin publications and confirmations from Ken Potter and Billy Crawford) recently via coin YouTube and by a ebay BIN listing at a ridiculous price that gained a lot of attention, it got into the CherryPickers' Guide (will be in the next edition if that ever comes out), so I guess it's one to look out for.
