Identification Of An Augsburg Silver Coin (Id: Peter Von Schaumburg (Ad 1424-1469) Pfennig)

TobyJ Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 1273 Posts	Posted 10/01/2022 2:25 pm I got a job lot of coins from an auction, all of them are Augsburg coins (German States), and I've identified all of them except this one and it is really bugging me. Not the best photos I know, hopefully I'll have it hand next week. Can anyone attempt to identify it from these photos? It is about 15mm in diameter, same size as a 1 Heller from 1801. It is a little unusual to have a non-bracteate Pfennig with a bishop on one side with nothing on the other. Maybe better pics when you have the coin in hand will help. Added: I take that back. Seems as though there is a version of Steinhilber #177 that is somewhat uniface (the reverse is described as "indeterminate"). It was issued by Peter von Schaumburg (AD 1424-1469). That is my best guess as to what you've got there.
