I bought the 2017 LESPS because it had an ASE that was only available in that set and the Congrats set,

Which it the same reason I bought the 2017 - then I just couldn't stop.

Sounds like a typical dedicated/obsessive collector to me (takes one to know one)!

Looking back at my records, looks like I bought the '13, '14 and '17 LESPS's. I do appreciate the packaging and it really showcases the silver coins nicely.

If this years packaging is just like last years shoddy plastic tray to hold the coins, I'll once again and buy on ebay just the package from an earlier year, this way all my sets will match.

Oh no, they changed packaging?! That was supposed to be the big draw of this set! IIRC that's one of the reasons why there wasn't a 2015 LESPS (they had trouble sourcing their packaging).

The only thing "limited" about this set is the packaging. It is pretty nice, but as with previous years' LESPS sets, you can get the same coins for cheaper by buying the ASE and Silver Proof sets separately.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe even cheaper.

Yes, last year (or was it the year before?), when they changed the ASE packaging to the cheap frocked plastic holders, they did the same for the LESPS too.

I went overboard and bought dozens of TPG 2017-S ASE proofs, which have done nothing but gather dust over the last few years. Seems to be an unlimited supply even though the mintage is relatively low.
