Or such a tiny thing, who could care.
I had a few minutes to have some fun searching this evening and this bit of an anomaly popped up.
Just for fun I thought I would post it.
Could be a bubble or a bit of doubling .
What think ye?

Hmmm.
Good question. It does resemble a lot of Modern DDO ear lobes.

If you have patience, it might be fun to send in and see what happens. They might need a second example or a BU example to attribute though.

Looks like below the shoulder there could be the same thing happening? But it is not the "Doubled Ear Lobe". There is a marker for that die:

On the inside edge of the rim for that die.

Never a doubt that this wasn't die #1.
I might look into sending it to Wexler just to see.
Thanks all !

Given the abundance of plating ridges on the coin, I think I'd poke it with a small porcupine quill just to see what happens.
