I've checked the head with a high powered microscope and the scratch appears to not be PMD.all the lettering looks kind doubled as well as the head. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/05/2022 11:37 am Remember 99% of incuse marks on the coins are from circulation damage. Above the 'T' second 'T' on TRUST is a split plating issue. Basically a spender. (The incuse mark on the head looks like a glancing blow to that area. If it were a struck through, then we would be a beginning and end on that area. It is is likely just damage on that area of the coin. Here is what I call a beginning and edge on an incuse mark: Note on the same image, there is a bag mark on the coin from another coin hitting the coin. (Part of the 99% damage issue on coins) But again note the beginning and ending on the wire issue. That is what you should see on a struck through error.
