I found a 1976 D dime that is copper both sides and weigh 2.15grams is this error coin and does it have any value over 10

Your dime is not copper, it is some sort of environmental
toning that has discoloured it. Value 10 cents.

Do u know if that also causes weight to be lowered cause it weighs .12 less or is that normal. Sorry I'm very novice on this. But I do appreciate you sharing knowledge thank you

2.27 grams is normal and mint tolerance is +/- .09 grams.http://goccf.com/t/407956

to the CCF as stated above environmental damage. It's a little lite in weight. If it was both layers missing it would weigh about 1.6 to 1.7.I have a 66 with reverse layer missing, it weighs 1.96. With a layer missing it wouldn't be as well struck up. Keep looking.

If it were missing a clad, then it would be red, not the color that this coin is.
