Danlin_26 New Member Austria 18 Posts	Posted 10/08/2022 04:48 am Hi! Two weeks ago I bought a set of various world coins that contained a strange bronze medal. Even after much research I have no idea what it could be. There may be a winged animal on one side, underneath it looks as if something is written in arabic script (?). On the other side two swimmers could be shown. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance! Report this Post to the Staff

collector.detector Pillar of the Community United States 505 Posts	Posted 10/08/2022 2:30 pm The obverse is definitely a sphinx. The face of a woman, the wings of a bird, and the loins of a lion. The back has swimmers racing freestyle. So my guess is some sort of swimming award from the middle east in the early 1900s. Is there any writing on the edge? Report this Post to the Staff
