The last 6 pence coin was minted in 1967 other than a proof coin in 1970. The British coinage was converted to the decimal and a six pence wasn't needed.

with the above.
Note that since 2018 The Royal Mint has issued silver 'Six Pence' coins as a gimmick. They have a nominal face value of six new pence and are usually sold just before Christmas every year...

Mike - Was the '6 pence' a typo for '5 pence'? The 1994 5p was minted for circulation - the mintage figure is around 93 million so they are quite common. 1993 however was only issued in BU and Proof Sets, with a mintage of about 54,000.

Hey NumisRob thanks for information about when The Royal Mint started the gimmick release of the silver 6 pence coins again....I could not recall which year it was.

No.

Britain went decimal in 1971 and there was no replacement for the sixpence. It would have been the equivalent of 2½ pence, a rather odd amount! Sorry.
