Hi, I'm totally new to the Roman coins, but fascinated with them.
I acquired this coin which is Licinius apparently, with Jupiter on the reverse.
I am trying to find out a little bit more information about the mintmark, the year or era of mintage, and also is there a recommended reference publication?
I have a link to catbikes.ch/coinstuff/coins-ric, but it is hard to get my head around the site, though I guess that will come with time.

Lastly, the coin is encrusted, obviously, with the sand of time, and I am curious as to whether this coin could do with some more soaking cleaning etc, or is it as good as it will get right now and I should leave it be?

Thanks so very much Palouche. That is a wealth information on the coin. So that makes the coin 1700 years old. Wow, if it could talk!

I spotted the Books Downloads and Websites Sticky, and my head is still spinning.
So much reference material. Thanks to all who contributed.
Now that should keep me off the streets for a while, but before I go, can anyone help with some guidance about whether this coin needs to be cleaned more, or should I leave it be?

Thanks in advance. tt
