This is a recent upgrade from a lightly cleaned VF-30

Wonderful toy.

Strictly graded, I cannot quite reach AU50 for it because of the wear on the wings, but I suspect TPG market grading would put it easily into an AU50 slab.

I agree with everyone's statement here.

When I bought the coin off ebay, I overgraded it a little bit based on what I saw in slabs, and based on the fact that I hadn't seen a coin this PQ in quite awhile.

In hand, the wear on the wings is much less obvious, I'd grade AU50 or AU50-. In person, the coin is absolutely STUNNING. Not to gloat or anything, I just haven't had a coin this nice in a lonnnnnnng time.

But I'd net grade this coin at least an AU-55 in terms of eye appeal. This is one of those ones I don't think I'm ever going to give away, even if I end up with a proof because I win the lottery or something.

I paid $190, by the way. After I got the coin, I knew I really got a deal.

Don't tell anyone about that dealer. Keep him to yourself.
