Hello! My parents gave me a bunch of old 100 bills to deposit at the bank, and I have been checking the dates, there are a bunch from 1990. To my surprise, there are a bunch for sale on ebay for 399 USD, which I don't get it. I don't see anything special I found this old thread, and you shared the same view, has something changed?

Chances of any meaningful value are low, but we'll need pics to confirm. to the CCF!

several nice notes there, but unless an error or unusual serial number, collectors of modern currency generally want pristine and uncreased notes, so anything with folds, marks or dirt on it is unlikely to be wanted
for example, the ALP stamp hurts the 1977, which is a shame since its the oldest
you can save them if you wish, of course, as they could form the basis of a starting collection that you could upgrade later, but you'll be losing purchasing value over time due to inflation

I don't see anything of value. They all looked well worn and some are stained. I'd deposit them if they were mine. It's cool to see the small-portrait $100s. As far as the asking prices on ebay, you're better off checking the SOLD prices to gauge value.

Even if these are worth face value, that's still several hundred dollars :)
I received a couple from the 1930s from my grandfather's stash of stuff in the mid-1990s. I have held them for the sentimenals and love open up the album and seeing them. It's a shame that inflation takes 3-9% of value out of these every year as my "reward" for keeping them. Enjoy them!
