It is with a heavy heart I must announce the untimely death of my friend, David Lisot. David passed away from complications after a recent surgery.
David was a connoisseur of numismatic items and more so of the friends and people which he collected all over the world.
David was a pioneer in numismatic media and a longtime friend, my condolences go out to his family. He will be missed and forever remembered, especially with his great work of media now hosted at the Newman Numismatic Portal.
David in Denver at the Denver Coin Show just a few months ago.

Thought it might be nice to show David himself being interviewed. By Ben Franklin too!
Patrick McBride as "Ben Franklin" interviews David Lisot of, CoinTelevision.com one year ago on October 29, 2021 at the Pennsylvania Association of Numismatics (PAN) convention.
Mr. Franklin asks David about his extraordinary experience videotaping the numismatic hobby. He delves into the intricacy of David's experiences and what were the most important aspects. If you want to see David Lisot who championed preserving the history of numismatic for more than 40 years on video then this is one to watch.

I first met David at an ANA Convention when he approached me about filming/taping my Numismatic Theater talk. He was friendly, enthusiastic and easy to work with. I have the DVDs from each of my talks that he filmed over the years - I don't like any of them! Of course, that's not his fault! I find it hard to watch/listen to myself without thinking of things I wish I had added or said differently!
Our paths crossed from time to time over the years and it was always pleasurable. He was among my "Convention Friends" - folks I would see only once or twice per year at the larger coin shows.
His passing leaves a void.

I didn't get to see David very often, but I always enjoyed talking with him. And I have great respect for the videos he made recording all the great presentations and interviews of noteable people.
