Maybe I'm being paranoid (as one should be when buying 8's) but there is something about this one that really just does not look right. There is just something about the surfaces and the rims that raises the alarm with me.

Very nice coin, swamperbob is the expert on these. It looks real to me, but he will be the one to tell us for sure.

It has been removed by ebay, no longer posted. Hard to tell in the picture but I agree with Archraz, coin doesn't look right. The font on the LM is wrong and the bottom of the ribbon on the right pillar is really wrong. Hard to tell without the coin in hand but I would pass on a sight unseen purchase on that coin. I'm curious, who was the seller on ebay?

The coin was not minted in Lima, it was manufactured in China with real silver (not sure of purity). For $50 bucks you can buy one. Also a give away is on the counterstamp bulge on the reverse of the coin. Original counterstamped coin would really go beyond $1000 in similar condition.
