Hard to tell in the picture but I agree with Archraz, coin doesn't look right. The font on the LM is wrong and the bottom of the ribbon on the right pillar is really wrong. Hard to tell without the coin in hand but I would pass on a sight unseen purchase on that coin. I'm curious, who was the seller on ebay? Report this Post to the Staff
manila galleon trade Pillar of the Community Spain 1361 Posts	Posted 02/27/2009 2:03 pm The coin was not minted in Lima, it was manufactured in China with real silver (not sure of purity). For $50 bucks you can buy one. Also a give away is on the counterstamp bulge on the reverse of the coin. Original counterstamped coin would really go beyond $1000 in similar condition.
