vonigohcr Pillar of the Community Canada 665 Posts	Posted 10/25/2022 4:07 pm Thanks for this @new1954. Nothing for me this time. I have the series of Peace $ but this time I am letting this one go... Next year, I predict it will have a painted effigy on the reverse... At least that is one of the steps the "Big Coin" series went through before ignominious cancellation... this series has now ticked almost all of those boxes. The only real impact of the 2023 version is to further deflate the value of prior years due to repetition. The only real draw for the Peace $ is the potential for a 2023 dated coin with a QEII obverse but since we still get NCLT with KGVI obverses this maybe not so much of a draw. I think the interesting thing will be to see the obverse on the UNC (or Packaged-circulation) set in January. Report this Post to the Staff

See my story: http://goccf.com/t/411245 Also, since I have all previous 1 oz Peace dollar silver coins, I will get this one too. I don't like price and mintage increases though. Nevertheless, I feel these Peace dollar coins may sell out sooner than other coins. Report this Post to the Staff
MoneyPenney Pillar of the Community Canada 2984 Posts	Posted 10/25/2022 9:22 pm This years Peace dollars is the best looking of the entire series. It should be a quick sellout, which we already see at CC&C, where all three coins are out of stock. The extra mintage isn't too bad with 5500 to 6000 for the 1 oz and 1000 to 1250 for the 5 oz. Gold plating always add demand to coins, so the extra mintage won't hurt sales. Certainly not as bad as the 50% increase in the UFO coin, which badly affected sales. They may last until Black Friday and even Boxing day for a discount. BTW, last year's 1-oz Peace dollar had a mintage of 5,000. So the mintage increased by 20% this year. I listed it as 2023 when it actually is 2022 and now the shipping date is November 17th instead of what I wrote as shipping in january. good grief. My apologies. atticguy Pillar of the Community United States 1373 Posts	Posted 11/28/2022 11:40 pm I was lucky this year to be able to buy the silver Peace dollar. I'm finally high enough in the RCM "Club" that I was able to buy ahead of the posted sales-date. Last year I wasn't so lucky and found it (2022 Peace dollar) was sold out prior to it's release date. Mine passed through customs yesterday and although the delivery date is posted as Dec 5th, I'm hoping it will get to my mailbox in 2-3 days. Report this Post to the Staff
