 to the CCF The weak strike and light weight indicates that it may have been struck from a thin planchet. Certainly not worth spending around $50.00 or so get it graded as that would far exceed the value of the coin.

Confusing pics. Thin planchet seems likely. Not worth grading fees.

boy I really messed up my first post didnt i!!! the title should read 1952 duh!!! the 52 p is next to the 52 s for comparison. I am really sorry.

 to the CCF It's a tapered planchet. The edge is thin where it's tapered, and then normal thickness the rest of the way around.

The first coin posted looks like a tapered planchet coin. Also looks a bit on the outside edge of the coin with a very slight clip/or breakaway metal issue. Not worth grading. But an interesting find. (Thus making it under weight and showing a weaker strike on the affected tapered area. Circulation makes the value drop a lot on these errors.
