After sifting through what feels like thousands of "AU" coins that look like they were found laying on the Interstate, I got one that actually looks uncirculated!

There are very slight wear marks on the drapery and knee on the obverse, but the reverse sure looks MS to me.

That is wonderful.

They just don't design coins like that anymore. I know there is a lot of hysteria about the 1 cent this year but please, those reverse designs are ordinary, everyday and nothing like as good as either side of this coin.

I can only put it down to enthusiasm for Abe the man, surely not for the coins themselves.

Even after shipping (combined shipping was pretty reasonable spread out over 4 coins), it ended up being less than $8, so I'm happy. It's no great rarity, but it is very nice to look at!
