Hello everyone, I found this coin in a coin shop in Genova today. It's my first type of this coin. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated! Best, R.

Thank you all... As always, I appreciate it. I know these are faked, but the hanging '6' in 1846 and a number of other detail matches made me confident in this one. I bundled this coin with some silver crown coins and I'm pretty pleased with what I paid...finding any large cents in Italy is very uncommon. There are loads of Morgans and Peace dollars and some heinously over priced Barber coinage, but few cents seem to have made it here. Thank you all again.

the last two photos I'm betting are more like the coin in hand and show more wear than first ones. I cant get this coin to AU. I'm at XF45 and have a concern about the dig on the rev rim at K5. it may be PMD

Admittedly the second set of pics suggest EF-45++.

I'm still at 53, nice separation of ear and the hair curls.

Thank you all very much. Under better magnification the die cracks on this coins are really pronounced. Looks like the die was nearing the end of its run.
It may have been cleaned, if so, much of the toning remains around the legends and relief.
I appreciate everyone's opinions on this coin.

Anyone think this may come back cleaned? Or is it worth submitting with a likely straight grade?
