Hey guys, well thank you again for the warm welcome. I've quite a few coins that I've been anxious to get opinions/insight on..but being as I'm new here. I'm gonna just start with one at a time..I want to see if I still have a knack for this or getting too old as far as my eyes..and common sense..lol.Anyhow here is a nice looking 2016 d shield penny with some "Die break action going" but being the "Skeptic First" I always want to rule out all possibilities before I get excited. What do you think is going on hete and hiw would you categorize an error Luke this? If in fact it is an"Mint Ertor" and not someone's science experiment. Furthermore how could one tell the differences to avoid mis labeling something that is not an genuine error coin? Opinions? I'm all ears and anxious to start picking your brains..thanks!!

Photos posted are very soft--appear to be enlargements of low resolution images. Thus, it's difficult to make out any details. Having said that, the obverse does show signs of 'colorful' staining, likely caused by exposure to environmental elements--perhaps a liquid which interacted with the copper surfaces..

Your CENT looks as if it has a bad environmental stain. Agreed, better photos are needed.
