1989 D Double Die Penny - Coin Community Forum

It weighs 2.2 Denver Mint Reverse Side Is All Doubled Can someone please help me identify this Penny! Report this Post to the Staff

ijn1944 Bedrock of the Community United States 19214 Posts	Posted 11/08/2022 6:19 pm Can't see evidence of a doubled die--given the images posted. Is the coin magnetic--like a steel coin? Perhaps the copper plating has been stripped away and we're looking at the zinc core. The reverse may be showing the signs of an 'aggressive' removal of the copper plating.
