I like $2 notes as much as the next guy but I'm failing to see the significance of the serial numbers. Being consecutive is no big deal.

I guess I'm a little too Americanized. Typical birthday notes to me are dd/mm/yyyy.

For American would be mm/dd/yyyy, right?
But I think it is common, to correlate serial numbers to dates in the yyyy/mm/dd format

I've always considered birthday notes to be mm/dd/yy and even then it unless it is your birthday, I can't see keeping it. I had one on a new $20.00 note that I put back in circulation as the chances of ever selling it would be pretty slim.

I am going against the trend, but I prefer YYYYMMDD. It is probably my IT roots and years of pouring over log files. That being said, fun finds. Keep if you like. Or give them as gifts if you know any nonagenarians with those birthdays or even those born in 1932.

The two-dollar bill is one of the most rarely seen in circulation and actual use. They are almost never given as change for commercial transactions, and thus consumers rarely have them on hand. There seems to be a lack of public knowledge now that the bill is even still in production and circulation and accepted in all those vending and self checkout machines etc. People are apparently hording them thinking wrongly they are rarer and more valuable than they are. Although they are generally available at most banks, two-dollar notes are usually not handed out except upon specific request by the customer, and may require the teller to make a trip to the vault, or order the desired amount if not present at the branch. Date serial numbers can be cool which are usually combination digits representing a birthday, anniversary, often special holidays, or important memorial day or event. 09/11/2001, 07/04/1776 To some people certain ones may hold value but to others they are of none so you would have to do some digging to see what happened on that date or whos birthday/death was on that date etc (they can be date notes not just birthday). Example: https://takemeback.to/ If something is found, being on a $2 which is desirable is a + even if the bill is actually not worth more it has a belief it is. A general 90 year old might not appeal as much since few 90s are likely out on ebay searching for things to buy, maybe their kid looking for a gift. I

Consecutive $2 bills tend to be harder to sell than other consecutive bills. If you get packs of 2's from the bank, they are usually consecutive.
