I recently got this proof and it looks a little odd to me. The lines, outlines, hair look 'soft' to me, not precise like others I've seen. Does it look strange to anyone else?

a D mint marked proof would indeed look odd since none are known. which means your coin is probably not a proof

To CCF , sharper pics of both sides of your coin needed . But as stated no proofs for a 1971-D Quarter .

Polished coin. Note detail is lost from the polishing. Just a face value coin now.

COOP is right if it is not an RDV-008. Been polish will loose at least 75% of the price. Damage the OP refuse to show the Reverse. Things happened sometimes.

PM me the reverse photo to say what design variety it is. You can have a 25 cent coin or 200$ one based on the re-polish. I sold one of this year the design variety on Heritage in mint state 66 at 8 K.
