So this 1988 Lincoln Cent is an example of a die crack?
I have another coin (1940 S Wheat cent) where the die event goes from rim to rim. Would this be a die break?

No, not a die break. That is a pre-cud. Look through the link and you might find a listing that matches yours. You should start a new thread with a different coin.
