Took a flyer on this one for possible resale. Seller did not have it listed as the overdate. Looks like its been cleaned and is trying to retone to me. Lots more meat on the coin than most I have found though. Supposed to be an over $400 coin in low vf according to numismedia.   Edited by jerryc39 11/14/2022 12:09 pm

color is odd. could be lighting. are these your photos? if so, try with better lighting and remove from holder.
looks like a weak strike both sides attributed to by the flatness of the high device areas
grade wise looks to be VF35 pretty close to XF but probably details without different photos.
the markers are not there for a 26/5 overdate

6th star points left of coronet tip and the 13th star has the extra metal pointing up.Leaf position between S and O is correct on reverse too. Color is odd because of past cleaning and retoning IMO. Sellers pics

I'd say xf40. Nice eye appeal. Look fwd to seeing what it looks like when you have it in hand. I like the overdates from the 20s. They are hard to find and I think you have a nice one for a reasonable price.

I say it just makes XF. Unfortunately, as you noted, I tend to think that the coin was cleaned, so my final grade is XF details (cleaned).

here are the markers for the overdate. closer inspection it does look like this is an early die state 26/5. good call jerryc39. value is about 3x the 26. I dont slab but even if it detailed it may be worth it to get an assigned grade as it increases pretty quick between 30, 35 and 40
