I'm pretty sure this coin is just damage but it makes like a perfect half of a octagon I traced it on paper idk just very odd but it does seem more like damage than anything but would just like an opinion on the side has these really fine lines and they are all pretty well going the same way but I'm sure this can be done by someone but I really have no idea just need someone with better knowledge when I comes to these kind of coins please and thank you

that is pure intentional damage - there is no way a quarter blank/planchet can have 5 clips that close together. I doubt that 5 clips is even possible on any blank.

That's what I was thinking also I just needed another opinion that's y I like posting on her you all are very helpful especially with newbies some hobby's have a lot more detailed things the others and coins and stamp and stuff seem to be sometimes more in depth or atleast just learning and knowing the knowledge of some of it still want to say thank you all for your help you always give a firm answer and I can trust that you all are awesome

I hope I'm ok asking this question on this sence it's A different topic but what do most coin collectors search out for looking for? errors dates, double dies, mint marks stamped over is that usally the things most look for I know everyone is different and collect different things but is this most common errors wanted I just trying to get an idea not always does the internet give you information on things because it gives you a lot of different stuff but I was just wonder most common errrors wanted
