Hello.
The color of this 10 kopeek 1948,USSR, coin looks yellow .Can someone please, say is this considered to be an error because the other coins from the same yare have white color of the metal .

I'm not convinced. These can tone yellowish due to the alloy. If the weight is around tolerance, I don't think it's an error

Thank you for the information . I was curious to know why the color of the coin is yellow. The weight of the coin is just like the one pointed in the catalog. Could you be more specific regarding the alloy of the coin . Shouldn't all kopeek coins have identical proportions of Copper and Nicel when there were made in the mint ?
The catalog I have in my attributes that there are coins tath were mistakenly made from blanks of different values like 2 kopeek blanks been used for preparing 10 kopeeks and 3 kopeek coins 20 kopeek . Could this be the reason of the difference of the color of the coin ?
