I got a 1854 large cent with a large crack running thru date on obverse wondering if it's a die crack or lamination issue or....? Any help is appreciated

a die crack is failure in the die, so many coins will have the same crack.
a laminations is a failure in the planchet. they will each be unique. usually they are caused by poor alloys. neat coin. probably not worth more than it would have been without the lamination.
The weight should be slightly reduced, it if is a Lamination issue. Information on The cause of the issue: http://goccf.com/t/435064 What can cause the lamination issue on the planchets? Lower part of this thread.
Nice lamination! Might add 10 bucks to the value to the right collector. '54 was a common date for rotated dies as well, any chance yours had that issue also?
