Looks like it may have been "upset" in a press. 99% sure this is post-mint damage.

Looks like the coin was removed from a 'Good Luck' holder pushing it out from the reverse with a dime. The reverse show the pressure bent it through the center. Too bad they didn't leave it in the holder, it would have been worth more than it is now!

I agree with Coop. It's an Encased Cent that was damaged when removed from the encasement. Someone could have done a better job removing this one.
