to the CCF First of all I would check your scales for accuracy. Being a zincoin, it should weigh about 2.5g. It could be a combination of a thick planchet and / or your scales are inaccurate. Also please provide a photo of the reverse, this should be done with any posting.

Interesting. Could we see a photo of the reverse? Thanks. Is the scale you're using accurate to two decimal places?

My apologies for not sending a reverse image the fist time. I am going to go get it weighed at the bank tomorrow.

Depending on scale accuracy, this could be an amazing find. Does it have the distinctive high-pitched copper ring when you drop it? Do you see any zinc bubbles on the surface? (I didn't see any on the pictures, but a picture is different from actually looking at the coin in hand.) 1982-D small date cents are supposed to be zinc, but there have been a few discovered examples of copper ones struck in error.

The photo of the reverse shows zinc peeking through the Memorial. Just a regular zincoin that may be a bit overweight. Value one cent.

to the CCF Agree the reverse photo shows zinc at the wear points. This is an expected zinc cent - value is one cent.

This is a zinc cent here. the top ridge of the memorial and the planters on either side of the steps all show the zinc core showing through.

Better scale is needed, or you have a slightly overweight cent. Definitely zinc. to the CCF!
